Learnings and Laughs

Gee ...today I am glad I have photos to show some good times as the subsequent critiquing of our handling of events got me sidetracked.

1- don't make assumptions
2-don't broach tricky subjects whilst husband drives
3-be quick to clean up messes regardless of what priority I give it
4-read stories lying down with kids when all goes pear-shaped
5-reading facebook posts CAN lift my spirits or at least take the focus of the current drama
6-earphones of podcasts are good even though I prefer the cushy route of listening to music
7-think through plans before both driving to the same location.
8-putting earphones on my teen might stop him reacting so 'full-on' to MANY situations.
9-take myself and/or others for a walk to see the sights at social occasions
10-create something beautiful like cake or art or writing when all else feels like it's in ruins.

Had to ask myself today...do I laugh much? And I don't mean the sinister scoffing type !
I am going to try that out more lately, be conscious of when I do and what makes me laugh. Still remember laughing in a good book or series ...maybe play more pranks! I do enjoy replaying those in my mind, recapturing the person's surprise when they realize they've been duped.

Today what was a laugh was seeing the crows peck determined to get our eggs and peoples startled response to it. Also seeing our chickens jumping literally for joy at the sight of a bug (presumably) or in competition with their fellow chook to uncover a new patch of earth. Hope you laugh at that thought!
